Podcast Strategy Session: 1:1 Consulting

I've worked on the end-to-end production of 800+ podcast episodes across 17 shows, from the initial planning and research right through to editing, publishing and promotion.

One thing that has taught me is just how much of a difference the decisions you make before a recording can have. If your episode idea is too broad, your interview isn't properly planned, you’re not sure who your audience is yet or you haven't quite figured out how to make every episode interesting, there's only so much you can do afterwards.

Here are a few things we could work on during a 60 minute session:

  • Launching a podcast: Developing your concept, deciding on a format and figuring out how to make your show appealing to the audience you want to reach.

  • Podcast positioning: Working out what makes your show worth listening to and how to communicate that through your title, description and content.

  • Episode ideas and planning: Turning broad topics into specific episode ideas that give people a reason to listen.

  • Episode structure: Figuring out how to open your episodes, organise your content and decide how to highlight your strongest material.

  • Interviews and hosting: Planning better interviews, preparing questions and getting more interesting conversations out of your guests.

  • Content strategy: Planning your next season, rethinking your current approach or deciding which ideas are worth pursuing.

Whatever you're working on, we can use the session to talk through your ideas, look at what's currently happening with your show and figure out what I'd recommend.

Service fee starts at $119 USD / $169 AUD for 60 minutes. Pricing depends on what you'd like help with and whether any additional preparation or analysis is required. I'll confirm the cost before booking anything in.
